Oh Netflix, how much joy you bring me with your unexpected new TV series… what have I most recently (re)discovered?
Felicity! Otherwise known as Keri Russell’s breakout performance and fast track to stardom. I remember thinking the show was pretty dramatic and cheesy the first time around, but it IS oddly addicting as I’ve been watching it the last few weeks. I have gotten 3 or 4 episodes in now, and already I’m oddly overwhelmed by all of the love triangles (and quadrangles). Even for college co-eds, this is hard to keep track of!
In the interest of using my beloved bamboo tablet for something completely useless, here’s a breakdown:
Okay, okay, so Elena’s self-righteousness isn’t EXACTY a leading male character… but it does get in the way of romance! Har har har.

Obviously, this is getting increasingly complicated as I try to list them. Sooo… help me out! What are your favorite TV or Movie (or any kind of) love triangles?

Oh how I loved the O.C. I was so devastated when it was over! The love triangles on Gossip Girl are pretty insane. I don’t know how far you are into the show so I don’t want to spoil anything! You watch it right?
haha- I watched the first season of the OC on hulu about a year ago, and I was scandalized laughing at how many different switcheroos there were with him dating her dating him and then that guy and her…. etc. I’m current with Gossip Girl, which you are right is pretty similar haha.

Ok, so your OC list made me gut laugh, it’s gets pretty twisted in those parts!
I haven’t really seen those shows, but other people have mentioned those so they must be good ones!
Currently, there’s Barney/Robin/Kevin on How I Met Your Mother. Other than that, I can’t really think of any on current series. The ones that have couples are just straight lines, so to speak.
For previous series, there was Clark/Lana/Lois on Smallville. Looking around the interwebs when the series was still on, I noticed that many fans also wanted to put Clark with Chloe (creating a triangle with either Lana or Lois) but I never really saw it. There was also Luke/Lorelai/whomever Lorelai was dating throughout Gilmore Girls. Although like with Ross and Rachel, we always knew that Luke and Lorelai would end up together 😀
And my mind is drawing a blank on all others. It’s 11 p.m. where I am so that must be it 😛
Honestly, it takes a lot to convince me that a love triangle is believable! A lot of them are formulaic: choosing between the “safe and steady” and the “wild and unpredictable”.

I used to love Felicity! Andd I can’t think of any love triangles right now. How about the love triangle between myself, Sam, and our cats? Well, that may have sounded creepy… haha
