Hear Ye Hear Ye! It’s Make My List Monday again! First off, how freakin’ amazing was Madonna last night? I can’t get enough of Madge. Okay, enough of that, let’s get right into it, what do you say? Here is what I’ve got on the docket for this week:
Meri’s Frenzied February List
- The return of Revenge. Yesss! Bring on the guilty pleasure!
- Long overdue Happy Hour with friends at our place.
- Turning in my first installation of a new travel column!
- Going to a MN Wild game. Go Wild!
- Experimenting with photo collage sites as Picnik is closing soon. I’m open to suggestion?
- A birthday party with a lovable dinosaur (no, it’s not Barney)
- Introducing my new Munch Madness topic tomorrow!
- Spending more time curled up with The Devil in the White City. Intrigue!
- Haircut??? Maybe if I’m good all week…
- Working madly and frantically on valentines! (yes, those are eraser stamps)
Well, it looks like I’m going to be busy busy! I hope I have time for CRAFTS!
Now who is ready for Munch Madness to begin?? What photo collage sites do you use? Do you make valentines for friends and family? What do you all have going on this week?
Meri

Revenge is a lot of fun.
I hate the expression guilty pleasure, but I think it describes it well anyway.
i just use photoshop. i tried using picnik once because i was desperate to post something from home…i thought it was a decent (free) backup. let me know what others you find!
[oomph.]
I haven’t figured out how to use photoshop very well yet… but I might have to suck it up and try it!
I use a lot of photo collage sites like pinterest, mosaic on, tastespotting, foodgawker and tastetologie
I’ve not heard of any of those besides pinterest- thank you!
I’m going to miss Picnik. I’m really sad it’s shutting down. 🙁
The Devil in the White City is a great book! I love how it reads like a novel!
I just started using Picasa last night for collage making, and it was fun! I can’t wait to try more complicated things. It seems more manipulable (manipulative?) than picnik.
I’m dying to make some valentine’s for friends and for JJ”s little school buddies but everytime evening shows up I am scrambling like a mad woman to get the have to’s done and then I collapse with little one at 9
sad my life is.
but how cute are your eraser stamps!!!!
haha- I feel that way too and I don’t even have kids!
Now you’ve inspired me to get crafty and make some Valentine’s! Did you make those stamps yourself? They’re adorable.
they are just pencil erasers dipped in stamping ink, so easy and I love polka dots!
I need that stuffed animal!! I LOVE IT! I would choose BOTH chocolate and beer…but I don’t like beer..so maybe just chocolate.
haha- for you the choice is easy then!
So many great things…you’re busy!
I don’t make valentines…well, just one each year, but this year I think I’m going to make them for all my littlest friends. They’re all old enough to get excited now, and I think I’ll buy them presents instead of candy…
I use fireworks for photo collages usually…I can manage photoshop, but fireworks is easy for web stuff.
I’ve never heard of fireworks, thanks! Good luck with your valentines!
i need to get a haircut as well but I keep forgetting! oops!
me too- or its just been so BUSY- but my hair is at an awkward mid length bob now and I’m not loving it…
I used to use Picasa and then Picnik. And now I’m on photoshop. Somehow two or three weeks ago I decided to check on Picnik (I think I was tired and wanted to do a very fast edit on some photos) and read that they’re closing. Sad thing. Photoshop is tricky but I’m making my way through it, although I’m pretty much just using 15% of its features.
Go for the beer. And later grab a chocolate (talking to the dino there!).
I’ve tried picasa now and got the hang of it, photoshop still frequently confuses me haha
