Girl Gone Wild

Hello out there on this Sunny Sunday! Who is going to watch the Grammy’s tonight?

Last night we went to a MN Wild game, and thanks to my parents had some killer third row seats. We ultimately lost, but it was a great game and lots of fun!

pre-game at Tom Reid's
ready....
skirmish!

And what about the skirmish happening right here on Meri-Goes-Round? Last we checked in on Munch Madness- The Sugarbowl, we pitted Twizzlers up against Taffy.

Twizzler’s edged out the competition in the end, but it was close! My vote would have been for Taffy, but I’m an impartial judge…

Up next? I have a suspicious feeling this one might be a slaughter, but I could be wrong…

Almond Joy vs. M&Ms

Who’s it gonna be? Vote away! What is your favorite sport or team to go watch? Who do you want to see on the Grammy’s?

Meri

  1. I’m not watching the Grammy’s. Never really been interested, especially when I became a country music fan and realized that the Grammy’s don’t respect country music all that much (just about all the country categories are given out during the pre-telecast and they’ve never really had a country artist perform). So I’m just gonna glance at Twitter and Facebook. Instead, I have a “date” with “Once Upon a Time” and “Pan Am.” I might flip in between just to see if the Glen Campbell and George Jones tribute is on. I hope I don’t miss that.

I only understand one sport: BASEBALL!!!!! Which is a good thing as it’s the one sport everyone in my family can agree on. Just a month and a half until opening day 😀

My Sugarbowl vote is easy this time: M&Ms! I’m a little obsessed with them. Never been a fan of Almond Joy (and by extension, Mounds).

I think I have to go with M&Ms…even though I once did a taste test survey of almond joy for hershey–they were trying to come up with a competitor for AJ. But, still, M&Ms for me.

Didn’t even know the Grammy’s were on! Oops! I love playing soccer and I love watching most sports. I am super excited about the summer olympics! And my vote is for m & m’s, if it was between mounds and m & m’s then my vote would be different 🙂

  4. Rebecca says:

M&Ms. Wild games are fun. It looks like you had really good seats.

  5. Sooz says:

    Go for M&M’s.
    And Adele.
Sorry, I’m a new fan of Adele, the girl can sing and she doesn’t need to be skinny or have backup dancers or lotsa makeup/fake hair colour to shine and steal the show. But I’m not watching the Grammy’s because for me, it’s work hours … thankfully I have twitter (because everyone is twitting about it!).

I knew she was a phenomenal singer, but I didn’t know until last night how cute and charming her personality is. And obviously she’s stunning.

  6. Ummmm, M&M’s duh! They are so yummy, and I’m not a fan of coconut…oops!

    I’m not really a sports fan…

  7. Rob says:

Definitely m&m’s, who can resist those chocolatey orbs of goodness. For sports, baseball, hockey and soccer – European futbol, Champions League and Italian Serie A.

  8. Melanna says:

I’ve never had an almond joy. Maybe we don’t have them in Canada. I’ve never looked. So here’s the thing. I grew up eating Canadian Smarties (which are basically M&M’s but better), but then they went all health-nut on me and changed them so that they use only natural dyes to get the colours. Which is great and all, but that changed the taste ever so slightly. But slightly enough that now I hate them (my kids on the other hand, never had the original smarties, so they don’t know any different and think the veggie-dyes are just great). All this means if I want chocolate in a candy-coating, it has to be M&M’s. I’m still not a fan of the original, but the peanut butter ones? Be still my heart! So there’s my vote. Probably not a fair way to get there, but too bad almond joy!

    • Meri says:

that’s funny, because in the U.S. smarties are a little roll of candies that are like little powdery flavored sugar pellets. They sort of crumble into sugar dust when you bite into them (delicious though). We have some similar “natural” m&ms at the co op by my house, sundrops they are called, and you’re right they aren’t as good haha!

You went to a hockey game without me?!?!! I bet you had a blast! I love hockey games.

just sayin…almond joy would’ve gotten my vote 🙂

tough one, tho. as an everyday candy, m&ms…but i consider almond joy a treat once in a while. i love coconut.
