Earlier this evening I was watching last week’s episode of Project Runway- All Stars. It was a pretty dope graffiti challenge (oh, excuse me, “aerosol art” as they called it…). I started to think about what it is on reality TV that makes someone an “all-star.” Here are a few of the qualities that make people stand out on reality TV:

• “The Bitch” or villain (Omarosa from The Apprentice many years back, Spencer from The Hills, Courteney from last year’s Bachelor, Kristin from Laguna Beach, Ivy from Project Runway
• “The Kook” Marcel from Top Chef (with the foam?!), The chick from Project Runway who spit on her clothes to mark them, Austin Scarlett from Project Runway, Lisa from America’s Next Top Model (okay, perhaps that was substance abuse, not kookiness…)
• “My  name is my personality” (Suede, Peach, Sweet Pea, Casanova from Project Runway, Puck from the Real World)
• Having a crazy style or hairstyle (Sanjaya from American Idol, Snookie from Jersey Shore, Kate Goslin’s soccer mom spike on John and Kate plus 8.
• “The Fighter” Bianca from America’s Next Top Model… Okay, everyone “as edited” on ANTM actually… Coral from the Real World
• “The Hot One” Andrew Firestone from The Bachelor (hubba!), Sam and Ilan from Top Chef season 2 (the only season I’ve ever watched. They were finalists and both hawt). Jamie from Real World- San Diego (she’s on Once Upon a Time now as Mulan!) and, well, most people on reality tv, actually, or TV in general…
• “The Catchphrase” Christian Siriano from Project Runway with his “Fierce,” Paris Hilton on The Simple Life with “That’s Hot,”and The Jersey Shore’s “Gym, Tan, Laundry.”
