Good evening friends! Today was another blissfully sunny and warm day. As we marched between our neighborhood, Whole Foods, Rainbow, and back home again, the sun reflected geometrically across flowers, leaves, and people, casting shadows.
I’ve always been a bit of a sucker for shadowy pictures. I like the anonymity of a shadow, and I like that all you see is the silhouette, the shape, the style.
My shadow follows me most places I go. On cloudy days I forget about her, but she’s there. Here’s a few of the places I’ve taken her!
| In the winter, laden with backpack, boots, long scarf |
| Venice Beach, with many less layers… |
| Stillwater, MN with man-go-round in tow. Autumn! |
You’ll have to trust me that its the same man-go-round 🙂 Manhattan Beach. I love the long shadow of this one. |
| Pointing at Montezuma’s Castle, Arizona |
San Francisco, with the same purse I have in practically every picture, I’m starting to notice… |
…and my favorite. It’s not often you have rain and sun all in one!

In what unique ways do you capture your travels? Do you write your name in the sand or do the “pinch the moon” effect? Any new ideas for me?
P.S. The best thing I bought today at Whole Foods was roasted edamame. Give it a try! I also tried this hibiscus bottled tea, and stocked up on blueberry Clif Kids bars. It was magical.
