That’s right folks! An entire week has gone by since mmlm’s introduction… and it’s time to check in!
And how did I do on last week’s list? Pretty well, I think! Highlights include organizing my desk, lots of time enjoying the outdoors, and some kitchen projects!

All that remains are a few things which I will shift right onto this week’s list:
1. Finish Bossypants– perhaps I should just make this into “make any progress on Bossypants.”
2. Plan anniversary with man-go-round
3. Magical birthday party costume (ideas? anyone?)
and now for the new stuff!
4. Introduce new topic for this blog for August! Tune in tomorrow!
5. Watch more Undeclared and Good Eats (Alton Brown) borrowed from library.
6. Tackle this music selection and find more new music to listen to (favorite song heard this week? Rumor has it, by Adele. Awesome).

7. Attempt to make another dried fruit/ fruit chip (bananas? apples?) and another dessert hummus variation.
8. Attend friend’s comedy show at the Fringe Festival
9. Work on Spain story Β (at least one sit-down).
10. Spend quality time with my momma! (Zoo? bird-watching? Playing with nieces? shopping?)
So there you have it! I intend to spend a lot of time also watching the cardinals in the nest outside our upstairs window, and keeping my eye out for that tiny yellow finch!
Now who wants to join me and add their list?Β What do you have planned for the week?

Meri

what is your spain story about??? i love spain… my second home. π and yay for round 2 of fruit chips! π
Just about moving there- I went to school in Madrid for a semester, and acclimating to being somewhere new and not knowing anyone π
YAY for tackling your list. Mine totally didn’t really happen last week. Well- the things I’ve really wanted to get done- trip to Trader Joe’s and return Gap jacket. Maybe tomorrow though!
This week, I HAVE to pay school tuition, I need to get my school email set up, return that jacket and maybe TJ’s.
Now I want to go to Trader Joe’s- but I already went to get groceries Friday and today hahaha!
I will be re-organizing the set-in wall bookshelf in my apartment! I’m actually looking forward to it.
I really like projects like that- once I get them started, that is… I have a hard time getting it started though!
I have been dying to get my hands on Bossypants!!! I heard it’s super hilarious π Have fun with your momma! Going to the zoo sounds wonderful.
Belly B π
It is really really funny- I would recommend reading it for sure, plus its a fast read!
My list this week mainly includes writing other lists! I am off to Bristol in a bit- so I have a list for what to pack. Then I need to write a list of what to do to get ready for my holiday next week, plus a list of what to pack. So lists within lists! π
I definitely make lists before trips- its fun to me which I think some people don’t understand π have fun on holiday!
it’s mini-he’s first day of school tomorrow, so i’m sure the week with be one of transition. would love to try the dried fruit, tho!
i had a request for a link up to my “experimenting with extremes”…so may be asking you questions about this linky tools. i’m a technological dork π
I’ll let you know- right now I’m not positive if it works or not haha so I can’t say with any authority if I know! but I used linkytools to do it, for free.
Ooh, are you having a magical themed party?! How fun! Let me ponder ideas and get back to you!
x Jasmine
My sister is, for my niece turning 1. The theme is either harry potter or fairy type of magic. what do you think?
Oooh, Harry Potter! Do you own any gold clothes? You could go as the Snitch!
If not, you could go as someone like Tinkerbell.
x Jasmine
That is an awesome idea! I could even have a little bobble headband with gold snitch on it hehe!
i really want to read bossypants and you made your own dried fruit and fruit chips? online recipe/tutorial, please?!?!
I’m going to continue my dried fruit chip experimentation- the previous post, “saturdate” has a link to the blog I found the nectarine chip recipe on. As I type, I have some banana slices and pluot slices drying in the oven at 200 degrees… we’ll see how they turn out!
Oh no!!! I totally forgot about this. Ok, it is going on the calendar for next Monday for sure! Isn’t Good Eats the best?! Love that show
I got all of the fruit and veggie episodes of good eats hehe! And link up next week if you want, or you can add it any time during the week too π
NICE!!!
I love to do lists….lovelovelove.
my biggest to do list day is Sunday, when I prep for the week.
so yesterday I made my meal plan, ironed my 3 week pile of press-ables, organized my go bag (and my knitting project bag) made my food a head for my lunches, smoothies etc, and made my workout plan for the week.
FUN STUFF
Nice- I bet you will be all set for a great week! I don’t plan my meals ahead but I do plan certain recipes to try when I have extra time, like the dried fruit that is in my oven right now!
A list like that is a GREAT idea, I should publish my to do list online, just to make sure I try my hardest to get it all done…
It’s fun, if you do you should link up to this post and join the party!
Plans for the week:
1) Get my blackberry unlocked (i’m traveling abroad soon)
2) Apply to at least 5 more jobs
3) Clean, clean, clean
4) Buy some killllller shoes
π
Ooooh my favorite is the shoes! what kind of shoes?
Ok, so that Raconteurs album is my favorite album of all time! No joke. And I’ve listened to a lot of albums. I leave it in my car, so if nothing is on the radio I have something that I love. Favorite tracks:
“Salute Your Solution”
“Carolina Drama”
haha, strangely enough I think those are the only two songs I already knew before getting the CD from the library π
im going to try dried bananas! i bought some dates so i could make homemade larabars!
I have some banana slices in the oven right now at 200 degrees- we’ll see how they turn out! I’m giving them as much time as possible today to see if I can get them “chip” like!
Um yum…dessert hummus!!!
I have a whole lotta nothing planned this week – grocery shopping, working out, cooking…boooriiinggg.
Whenever I feel bored about recipes, I think to myself, “what could I put in a dessert hummus today…”
Your week sounds a lot more fun and exciting than mine! Lol. A lot of those things (costume shopping, anniversary, etc.) sound awesome and I can’t wait to hear the results. π
PS. I wrote a secret guest post and since you’re one of my fave bloggers, I wanted to share it with you: http://ambersmouthwash.blogspot.com/2011/08/guest-post-best-friends-forever-right.html
Just copy/paste the link. xo
I’m on my way to check it out! I love to have fun things on my to-do list so that I don’t notice when I’m cranking through the tedious ones!
that appears to be a rather nice bottle of jameson there.
Oh, we take our whiskey seriously around here! Well, some of the time…
I’d love to do your link party but I need to go to bed, wahhh!!!
Well if you want to join later its open all week!
Oh, I love the zoo! I missed your list from last week…but this is a great idea!
One of our zoos has these tiny African penguins right now- I just missed them the last time we went and I want to go back!
I’m a huge fan of the list, I write wonderful lists I just don’t always manage to stick to em!
my trick is to fill them up halfway with fun stuff so I get in the groove of checking things off π
