Marshmallow Girl

Hello Friends! For this edition of Wordy Wednesday, I thought I’d share a bit about what we’ve been doing with our Advent Calendar thus far!

Day one, we put up our tree, and added the tree symbol to represent it:

Day two, we decorated the tree. Here’s the first ornament we put up- a doll made out of banana fibers given to me by man-go-round’s grandma last year!

Day three, we put the heart symbol on the tree. This meant we were each to do something nice for someone else. For my part, I wrote a nice note on a dollar bill and stuck it in one of my favorite books at the library. I hope it will brighten someone’s day (someone with similar literary taste as me…)

Day 4 was today. We put on the bell symbol this morning which we deemed, “holiday music day.” Before work, we each got to pick a song. I chose “marshmallow world,” by Brenda Lee, because its charming. Man-go-round chose “the most offensive christmas song ever” from South Park. Luckily for me, the song stuck in my head all day was Marshmallow World, or I might have had some explaining to do at work…

In case you haven’t heard the latter, here is a link. Disclaimer: if you find this offensive, its not like the title isn’t warning enough…

The Most Offensive Christmas Song Ever (by Mr. Hanky)

What is your favorite holiday song? Do you try to do charity or good deeds around the holidays more than other times of year? Do you have a favorite ornament?
