Friday Greetings to all.
I have a laundry list of “blog business” to cover this weekend, but I really don’t feel like posting anything except some photos and lyrics of solidarity for all of the chaos that is happening in the world today. Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Political unrest, and more. The “easy out” is to get depressed and give up.
I believe the world is good despite how awful things can seem. I believe music can bring some solidarity to human beings, to draw us together and inspire us to keep going even in the face of destruction. Thus, I give you some of my favorite lyrics for solidarity, for unity, and for love, to all of the earth’s creatures.
One blood
One life
You got to do what you should
One life
With each other
Sisters
Brothers
One life
But we’re not the same
We get to
Carry each other
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today…
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world…
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
-“Imagine” by John Lennon
