Anyone else absolutely love that song? I sure do. I really do have quite a lot of Bloggy Business to do, but it’s all really fun and exciting business! Here goes:
1. A girl goes awake and receives two new awards!
Thank you ladies! I highly recommend you check out their blogs if you really would like the travel bug to bite you bad- I can barely handle keeping my suitcase in the closet when I read what they have to say.
I’m going to follow the “rules” of these awards in my own way, at the end of this post. Anyone who has a problem with that? Too bad.
2. I received some REALLY GOOD MAIL!
-A package of products from Swanson Health to review. I read about them on one of my very favorite blogs, and inquired as to how I could try some of their products for free. They choose products according to what your blog is like, send them to you for free, and you give an HONEST OPINION about the products. I will be trying these out and letting you know. Read to the bottom of today’s post for my review of the first two products I tried, and check in later for the rest!

-Giveaway win from Mel– sooo pretty, I am really excited about this one! Plus, look how cute she packed it up and made the little stars for me too! Thanks dahling, I’m feeling more fabulous already!
-I just finished Waiter Rant by Steve Dublanica on the airplane, so I was so happy to see this waiting for me at home from Eliz:
Thank you dear! I read another book by her and she is hilarious. I can’t wait to get into this!
-So which of the new products did I try out so far? Well, I’ve heard of Tom’s of Maine before but never really committed to the co-op style prices, to be honest. Man-go-round already has some of them, though, so I knew he would be a fan.
I tried out the deoderant (see link above), even though mine isn’t gone yet. I figured I could have two open at a time, live a little. It’s apricot scent, and I love how it smells. All I did today after I put it on was go to Borders and to Walgreens, and then make some tea and blog, so I haven’t given it a “really hardcore” test yet, but I do love the smell!
Then I tried out the toothpaste (see link above, again). It doesn’t have fluoride in it, which is kind of interesting. I’m not sure I’m either for or against fluoride, but I wanted to give this stuff a try. I gave me teeth a really good brush with the child sized toothbrush the dentist gave me…(insert jokes at my expense here…)

Verdict? Well, I have to say that I was fine with it while brushing, but not sure of the flavor after I spit out the paste. I might have to either try another flavor (I actually hate Spearmint flavor usually, so this might be the reason) or rinse afterward. I do want to keep using this toothpaste, though, because this was the cleanest my teeth have felt in a really long time. And since I eat a substantial amount of candy/ coffee/ soda/ tea/ wine, I would like to feel like my teeth are clean… So the overall vote is YES! My apologies if my photo montage has icked you out.
-Finally, I was tagged by Jen in a “7 things about yourself” style post. Since I’ve done this several times and would like to spare any remaining readers left after the tooth brushing photo session debacle… I will instead return to my MUSIC MONTH roots, and list the:
7 Best Children’s Songs
1. The brush your teeth song. (how appropriate…) “When you wake up in the morning and it’s quarter to one, and you want to have a little fun, you brush your teeth (wag finger in teeth brushing motion…) chhh ch chhh chhh…”
2. I am a pizza by Charlotte Diamond
3. I like to eat, eat, eat, apples and bananas. Oh Raffi, I love you.
4. Down by the bay
5. Ants go marching…
6. “One sunny day, I met a bear, out in the woods, oh way out there….”
7. Frere Jacque
What are your guys’ favorite sing-a-long songs to sing? There’s not very many I dislike, and I’m probably forgetting a favorite…
I am doing things differently and tagging bloggers for the awards/ tag post TOMORROW. So tune in and see what I want you to do. Muah ha ha. It’s gonna be good.
Have a lovely evening!
Meri
****One final reminder, people: The reviews of the products I have done above are not paid advertising, I would not deceive you this way: I simply wanted to get some free things to try, and give my honest opinion about. If in the future there is a product I’m not a fan of, I will also be keeping it real. However, if you want to get some things for YOURSELF… here’s the link from the good people over at Swanson Health.
