Dot your i’s and cross your thir-t’s

Listmania month draws to a close! I cannot believe how fast May has gone. Never fear, Meri has something b-e-a-utiful planned for the month of June, but I thought I better send list month out with a bang!

First, a photo montage…

Yes, Spring has really and TRULY sprung now! Ahem, now onto the list…

Bucket lists are a bit morbid for my taste, and I’ve always been more of a move towards the target blindly type of gal instead of a goal-setter (why waste the time listing goals, right? Especially when you’re this impatient!) I tend to waffle around not knowing what I want, and then when I figure out what it is, I move towards it full force until it’s MINE or I’ve exhausted my efforts trying.

However, lately I’ve been seeing “30 before 30” and “40 before 40” lists all over blogville. Soooo I thought this might be a way to set my focus on what I want out of life without setting any sort of lofty “goals” out there. It’s still a work in progress, but I’m having so much fun making this list I thought I’d share the rough draft with you all! Suggestions gladly accepted!

Meri’s list she will at least complete WRITING before she turns 30 (t-minus 4 years from now)…

1. Publish something I’ve written. In any publication, e-zine, magazine, book, etc. Man-go-round contests that technically I publish things daily on my blog. I mean something I’ve written that I’ve actually read over. Fiction, people.
2. Road trip with the man-go-round further than one state away.
3. Take a community ed class.
4. Try a new kind of seafood.
5. Grow something. Anything. Flower, vegetable, weed…
6. Go berry picking!
7. Take a train WITHIN the U.S.
8. Complete a macrame project other than messing around.
9 Watch the Godfather series
10. Do a walk/ run for a cause or fundraiser
11. Visit at least one of the following: Rome, Argentina, Costa Rica, Chile, or Germany.
12. Return to Madrid and videograph my different, “wiser” perspective.
13. Visit the U.S. SouthEast with my mama.
14. Invent a signature cocktail I consistently enjoy. If not, what’s adulthood for anyway?
15. Read________ (not sure yet)
16. Ride a horse
17. Document more of my family’s history and stories (first on tape recorder, then on paper)
18. Visit one or more of the following: Austin, Boston (rhymes!), Virginia, Nashville, Vermont, Albuquerque, Portland.
19. Attend a taping of a TV show/ talk show/ late night show.
20. finish this list…

Okay….the last one is a joke, but that’s what I have so far! I would love to hear your suggestions for fun things you’ve done, learned, or seen! They can be large or small scale, I don’t care!

Do you make goals or just go for what you want when you see it or recognize it, like moi?

And are you curious about June’s topic or what?

As always, if you’ve made it this far you are the greatest. Thanks for reading and your lovely comments. You complete me.
