Hi there, and a happy Tasty Tuesday to anyone and everyone out there! Last week at the co-op I decided to try a new product: Quinoa flakes. Similar in nutrition to oatmeal or oatbran, it is moderate in protein and fiber and generally looked pretty similar to what I often eat on a daily basis. However, I can’t resist trying a product I haven’t tried before, so I bought it.
I went to the kitchen, and followed the easy (microwave) instructions. Since I wanted to compare it to how I make oatmeal and oat bran (almost always in the microwave) I figured that would be the fairest comparison. The verdict? Yep, tastes pretty much the same. Oh well, now I know!
And now, for something a little less healthful… I give you your FINAL warning to vote for the Sugarbowl Finals! The winner will be announced tomorrow! If you haven’t voted yet, who is it gonna be?
